Are you trying to locate a son, daughter or loved one who has recently gone missing? Our investigative team at Sunset Blvd. Investigations (SBI) understands that it can be a terrifying ordeal. You don’t know where they are, if they’re hurt or if they’re in need help. Taking immediate action can make a difference.

Threat Assessment Analysis | Private Investigation Services in Los Angeles

Utilizing a private investigator is the usual next step after contacting law enforcement. Missing person cases can consume a significant amount of police resources. Police are also reluctant, due to thinning resources, to search for people who voluntarily leave home, a runaway scenario, or someone who just wants to disappear and not be found. Even in a police-led missing person search, police will stop looking after a certain amount of time and will declare the investigation a cold case. Police can only dedicate a certain amount of time to each case, whereas a Private Investigator will dedicate all of their time and resources for as long as it takes.

Finding a missing person can be an arduous task, and there’s no guarantees that the person will be located, but our investigators will leave no stone unturned in our quest. We put into action a wide variety of skills, techniques, and decades of experience to search for your loved one. Our investigators reach out to community help centers, Salvation Army, generate posters, check homeless shelters, parks, canvas the areas where the subject was last seen, including hotels, transportation depots such as subways, metro lines, airline terminals, and bus and train stations.

We utilize an extensive network of law enforcement professionals, private investigators, and local citizens to assist us in our search. At times, we’ll also pay confidential sources in order to obtain real time intelligence on the streets. It’s those resources on the streets that becomes our eyes and ears on a 24/7 basis.

As investigators, we’re your dedicated resource for finding the missing person. We’ll begin our search as soon as you authorize us to become involved and we’ll continue to search as long as you’re still looking for answers.

As private investigators we can blend into the community and people will often reveal sensitive information and details that they aren’t as comfortable sharing with law enforcement.

If you decide to utilize SBI’s services we ask that you please provide the following detailed information on your loved one:

Disclaimer:

Anyone over the age of 18, without a mental disability, has the right to keep their location private, and the police are required to respect this. As private investigators, if we’re successful in locating your loved one, we can’t compel them to return home but we can definitely speak with and relay any messages to them and hope they reach out to you.

When a missing person with mental illness over age 21 is located, the police and other agencies cannot be asked to hold a person against their will if he or she has not committed a crime and are not a danger to themselves or others. No one has the authority to force the person to seek aid or medical care against their will unless there is a medical guardianship or court order stating what action to take.
